The Abu Dhabi Group for Best Practices in Human Resources Management organized a workshop in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) on the “Best Practices Applicable to Performance Management”. The Abu Dhabi Transport Department’s experience in this respect was presented in the presence of directors of HR in ten governmental and semi-governmental departments and organizations out of those operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Participants in the workshop have discussed all aspects related to the system in terms of its importance, the Department’s accredited criteria inclusive of occupational competencies and employees’ personal objectives associated with the Department’s strategy, in addition to challenges being encountered by the system’s application.
In the course of the event, a full presentation was given on the recruitment system of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC) as a practical case regarding the sources of recruitment, the internal-recruitment action’s methodology, along with the placement test peculiar to candidates for jobs. 
The ADCCI had over the past period announced launching the “Abu Dhabi Group for Best Practices in HRM” in co-operation with a number of governmental departments, organizations and companies operating the Abu Dhabi.
HE Mohammed Helal Al Muhairi, ADCCI Director General, underlined that “Launching the Group is intended to create a forum for HR practitioners, workers and specialists in training and development issues, as well as for directors of human resources at the level of Abu Dhabi’s local departments so as for them to manage through such a platform to both exchange expertise and identify the best practices in the field of HR besides matters pertinent to Emiratization”.
“Establishing and launching the Abu Dhabi Group for Best Practices in Human Resources comes within the framework of the ADCCI’s strategy aiming at supporting and encouraging creative initiatives at the level of organizations in Abu Dhabi, urging them to co-operate in developing the best benchmarks and standards for exchanging the best international practices of organizations participating in the Group in this regard,” Mr. Al Muhairi noted.
