The Abu Dhabi International Centre for Organizational Excellence (ADICOE) of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) celebrated the graduation of the 3rd Batch of participants in the Professional Diploma in Organizational Excellence (PDOE), which is introduced for the first time in the Middle East. Graduation certificates were conferred upon 20 UAE participants working for public organizations in the United Arab Emirates.
The event was attended by HE Mohammed Helal Al Muhairi, ADCCI Director-General, Professor Hadi Al Tijani, ADICOE’s CEO, along with a number of officials from government departments and institutions in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Congratulating the graduates, Mr. Al Muhairi stressed that “The knowledge, experience and skills acquired by them will be instrumental in the enhancement of the operational march in their public and private organizations”.
“This ceremony has turned out to be both an annual tradition and important event at which we meet every year to renew our covenant of loyalty to President HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan – May Allah safeguard and keep him as an asset to his sons and homeland - as well as to General HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,” pointing out that the ceremony could not have been a reality without their sublime directives which emphasize that qualitative education and employment is a right to each and every citizen in this generous country;  and affirming that “ADICOE is viewed as a tool for implementing such wise directives in the light of which the ADICOE’s march has taken off”.
“Introducing the Professional Diploma in Organizational Excellence has been within the framework of the ADICOE’s and the ADCCI’s strategy aiming at boosting the competitiveness of UAE private and public organizations through building human capacities and contributing to the Emiratization of specialist jobs in the field of quality and organizational excellence,” he noted.
For his own part, Professor Al Tijani spoke about the programme’s main features and its impact upon Abu Dhabi’s sustainable development on the one hand, and the achievement of the Chamber’s mission on the other hand. “The most important feature is that the PDOE is the first of its kind at the level of both the UAE and the region; that it has been developed locally by the ADICOE drawing upon long experience in this realm; that it has been accredited by the British Quality Foundation (BQF) which is a leading international authority in this domain; and that all graduates are UAE nationals and are working as executive officials in key government organizations in the UAE.”
Mr. Al Tijani underlined that “Graduates of the three cohorts form an elite of organizational-excellence experts who have been qualified and trained not only for purposes of assessment but also for those of actual application of excellence in their own organizations,” explaining that “PDOE graduates can continue their study and be admitted to the professional master’s degree being offered by the ADICOE; thus, they can also join the programme to get further qualification and training. In addition, they can manage to coach others in their own organizations and to assume the actual responsibility for organizational development and excellence in their own various departments”.
