Discusses Challenges Being Faced by Businesses and Companies to Apply Their Plans and Be Abreast of Changing Conditions in Markets


“Companies and businesses operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are in possession of capabilities and expertise superior enough to adapt to changes and developments taking place on local and international markets, relying for the purpose upon their strengths and active contribution to comprehensive, sustainable economic development in the UAE,” Mr. Mohamed Alneaimi, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI)’s Communication & Business Sector, said, noting in the ADCCI’s speech he delivered at the outset of the activities of the Middle East (Corporate) Change Management Conference that:”Policies, strategies and projects in Abu Dhabi are guided by the Abu Dhabi Vision 2020 for well-balanced and comprehensive growth, and by the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 aimed to expand the economic base of the emirate through diversification and capacity building. As you are well aware, this Vision seeks for Abu Dhabi Government to be among the world’s top five ones”.
On behalf of the ADCCI Board Chairman and Members and its Director General, Mr. Alneaimi welcomed participants in the “2012 Middle East Change Management Best Practices Conference,” wishing them all the best and affirming the Chamber’s support for such activities, which are of benefit to the business community in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
In today’s business environment where change is constant, technology is cheap and identifying talent is hard, managing change is the key differentiator between successful businesses, he stated.
To survive and succeed we all have to embrace change management, irrespective of how challenging it could be, he underlined.
The two-day-long event discussed challenges being faced by firms and companies in the Middle East in order for them to apply their plans and implement amendments that are in unison with the changing and latest conditions.
It attracted a wide participation as the event’s activities were shared by more than 100 persons from international and domestic companies and organizations, including the ADCCI, Musanada in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Knowledge Village, along with a number of renowned international companies and businesses.   
Mr. Khaled Bin Abdullah Al Mubarak, Chairman of Mawj Training and Consultancy – a company which is the organizer of the conference – also addressed the conference’s opening session and stressed the growing attention being paid to the subject of change management in companies and corporations internationally, in the Middle East and in the GCC region.   
Over the past couple of days, the event has provided a chance to brief participants on the best practices in the subject of corporate change management plus the world’s academic and scientific institutions’ state-of-the-art achievements in this respect, he stated.

In addition, Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Mulla, Deputy Head of the Dubai Aluminium (Dubal)’s IT,  addressed the company’s experience in change management through “North Dubal” project, the model adopted by it in change management, challenges faced and achievements made by the project. He also introduced participants in the conference to factors of success and lessons learnt.
